Crown’s miles :)

CROWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

A whopping Crown total of 1,042 for the past 10 days or so!! Lots of families making a really big push to try to get over the finish line!!

Lee has been very ill, went into hospital, was allowed out, then Jimmy (Shand) broke, Lee had to hitch 200 miles to a bike shop. She is hoping to catch up with Rickie- who was leading the women’s race, to go over the finish together later this week! We must be close to the finish line too…!!

Well done all 🙂

Keep the wheels turning!

A really WILD day out!

P4 and p4/5 enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Wildlife Park at Kincraig on Friday. It stayed dry for most of the day and we were lucky enough to see most of the animals – on more than one occasion we were left wondering who was watching who!

A huge ‘Thank you!’ to Caley’s Mum, Eleanor’s Mum and Rory’s Dad for their help on the day – we would not get to go on such exciting trips if we didn’t have such great adult support.

Your child will be bringing home a paper plate this week requesting baking donations for Saturday’s fete.

Please make your favourite cakes, biscuits, tablet and tray bakes and bring them in to school on Friday (or to the baking stall on Saturday). We know we have some amazing bakers out there and all donations are much appreciated as this is one of our most popular stalls!

Please also keep your other donations coming: bottles, filled jam jars, tombola prizes, toys for older children, books, DVDs, computer games etc. We have stalls to fill!

Thank you

Election Day ‘Wacky Races to Dores’

CROWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Election Day ‘Wacky Races to Dores’

Family cycle, including teachers if free, ‘any way’ to Dores and on any kind of bike.  Choose the high road via Essich hill, or low road and cycle path via Torbreck, or off road on the track between the two, with an option of zigzagging down or climbing up MacBains.  Now there’s a challenge!

On the low path the mileage is 18miles (return), and on the high road with a descent into Dores about 22 miles (return).  We (Crown WOW) have tested this route out in advance (many times) with a large group as a family cycle.  It is a scenic and safe route, with something in it for everybody regardless of age or ability.

Meet at the front entrance of Crown Primary School, just within the grounds, from 09.50am, and we will depart from there at 10am…
